Chessington World of Adventures Tiger Rock Theme Park Review
We invited LittleBird Mum Francesca to visit Chessington World of Adventures Resorts with her family for a full fun sleepover experience, read on to see how she got on…
After a long spell at dwelling house information technology was fourth dimension to brand our family fourth dimension magic again with a theme park experience and overnight stay at Chessington World of Adventures Resort!
We are a family of ii adults and children aged 11 and nine. This is our get-go theme park experience together as we aren't all thrill-seekers, particularly our youngest. But Chessington World of Adventures Resort has so much to offer, for all our likes! My husband, the daredevil, was looking forrad to the BIG rides like the Kobra, Dragon'south Fury and Vampire, our eldest was excited for traditional and fun attractions similar the chair swings (Monkey Swingers) and the h2o rides (Tiger Rock, River Rafts), the youngest wanted to find Babe Sharks (of grade!) at Body of water LIFE and I, well, I just wanted a different view and no routine or chores! The website is a peachy introduction to all the adventures on offering. We planned our trip and downloaded the app to make the near of our visit. Suffice to say, we all got what we wanted! And more!
Nosotros live quite close and the location is familiar. It'due south like shooting fish in a barrel to access and well continued to major routes. I had wondered whether information technology would feel similar nosotros were "abroad" enough to give the states all the break we needed. But every bit shortly equally we turned into the clearly marked entrance and into the carpark (stewards were on hand to straight us) a weight lifted, and the trip began. The resort hotel is really impressive – information technology's HUGE! The entrance and entrance hall are well ready out and nosotros were made to feel welcome and safe with a one-mode organisation, masked receptionists and screens for all our comfort. Nosotros were very excited to get started straight away so we left our bags (unattended) before bank check-in and headed to the entrance line.
We were impressed to encounter that guests were queuing socially distanced from one another and the line wasn't too long. We were in within fifteen minutes. As hotel guests, our temperature was checked, nosotros received a wristband every bit proof and went through a bag security check. All very reassuring. Next come the park entrance gates and we were quickly scanned through. Lots of staff – masks and gloves – are on hand for any questions.
First port of call – VAMPIRE! I call up when information technology outset launched (celebrating xxx years this year, 2020) and call up my first ride when I was my children's age. This was a scrap of a test for our youngest. It'southward way more than annihilation he'south experienced before and was going to exist the make-or-break of his enjoyment for the weekend. No pressure… Ha!

Given the time that'due south passed I wondered whether information technology would it all the same feel as exciting? I was actually impressed that the whole experience withal felt current, thrilling, just-the-right-amount-of spooky for youngsters and adults alike. The queue line, as we after constitute with all the rides, was well marked for SD and everyone nosotros encountered that day was respectful of the measures. So, on we went – Vampire passed with flying colours, ahem. Phew! We knew nosotros at present had an crawly day ahead!

Twenty-four hour period 1 continued to be and then much fun. It was a scorcher of a day (35C) but the queues are manageable, visually stimulating, with open and shaded spots throughout. Bluntly, information technology was a pleasure to all be together without having something to do, blitz off for or multi-chore on. We just chatted, people-watched and passed the time together. Funny, after several months spent home together, I realised how little fourth dimension we normally have for each other.

Nosotros all went on all the rides together – except Kobra for our youngest. That was a step too far for him, but there were plenty of adventurers around his age LOVING it (cheque minimum peak restrictions on each ride earlier committing). On Day one nosotros covered Vampire, Tiger Rock, Dragon'due south Fury, Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, Kobra, Sea Storm and Griffins Galleon.

We chose to accept a few sandwiches and snacks from dwelling house equally lunch and found some picnic tables and open grass space to eat. On our visit some of the refreshment kiosks were airtight or opened later in the day, mayhap for covid-19 prophylactic reasons. However, there are sweet and souvenir shops and the in-park restaurants and some slush and snack kiosks can be plant open beyond the park. We made use of the shops for sweeties to keep our free energy up. All in all, information technology was a pretty full on day! Nosotros wanted to make the nearly of our hotel so headed at that place around 4pm for some placidity fourth dimension and to go ready for dinner in the hotel restaurant, Zafari Bar & Grill. We had booked for 7pm so enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the Temple Bar whilst marvelling upwardly-close at the zebras, giraffes, ostriches and ENORMOUS buffalo on the Wanyama. Contrary the Temple Bar you can as well see a squirrel monkey enclosure – then sweetness!

Dinner was slap-up; plenty of infinite between tables, all serving staff were in masks and at a 1+ distance and we felt all necessary measures to make u.s.a. experience safe had been taken.

Well-fed and after such a happy day nosotros all fell into soft, clean beds nice and early ready for the following twenty-four hour period.
What a view to wake up to from our hotel window!!

Breakfast besides needs to exist booked in advance – be quick or be prepared to exist early. We took the 6.45am slot and were glad of a leisurely breakfast. In that location was so much on offer – yogurt, fruit, juice, pastries, continental and full English language options. Served at the Temple Bar with actually satisfying covid-19 safety measures and staff on hand to welcome u.s.a., explicate our pick and assistance with the one-way system.

We had plenty of time to pack, checkout to go to the theme park for our Early Rider opportunity. No prizes for guessing what we all couldn't wait to continue again!! VAMPIRE! Well, it is the 30thursday ceremony.

Much to our surprise, in that location was nevertheless and then much more than for us to experience. We discovered whole new areas and rides nosotros hadn't fifty-fifty seen the day before. A truly new day, we went on Monkey Swinger, Tomb Blaster (I was top scorer, only saying), Scorpion Limited, Hazard Tree Carousel, and a second become at Dragon's Fury! Our youngest sat out on Rattlesnake (he's under the minimum height brake) just had 2 goes on the Tuk Tuk Turmoil to make upwardly for it.

A particular highlight was the River Rafts. The children rode together and had fun getting a lilliputian splashed…

Solo riders definitely get wetter!! Ha!

Equally the afternoon on the second mean solar day rolled around we decided to caput over to SEA LIFE, a not-to-be-missed point on our agenda. Nosotros caught the Sea Lion show on our fashion as well! An unexpected care for.

The change in stride, being libation within than the summer'southward day exterior, calming blue light and gentle motility of the sealife was a welcome wind downwardly. The children were fascinated, and we spent longer there than anticipated as there was so much to see.

The souvenir shop was our last terminate where we picked up a few personalised proper noun gifts for our goddaughter and the children treated themselves to some trinkets and souvenirs with their holiday money. This is the latest edition to the family, harp seal pup, Chessie!

We were then pleasantly surprised by the huge amount of activities on offer and how much we could pack into two days. Nosotros had thought it was going to all be almost the big, thrill rides. But, actually, we all agreed that our favourite ride was the Gruffalo River Ride Adventure. A family memory we'll treasure and a reminder that you lot're never as well old for some gentle fun and a sugariness tale.
Any initial concerns before arriving were allayed by all the health and condom measures that had so carefully been put into identify throughout the hotel and resort. The overnight stay was merely the ticket to get the most from the resort – and we didn't even get to the zoo! We'll be back for that next time. See yous once more soon, Chessington!
